"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."
Like many Americans (and I'm sure like many across the globe) over the past 48 hours I have been processing the horrific violence that just took place in Las Vegas.
Like many, my despair has been compounded by the awareness of how the issue of gun violence remains deeply polarizing. So much so, that the kind of creative problem-solving we need to address it remains out of reach.
In turn, this led me to think about the importance of leadership that understands the importance of trust and psychological safety. These are essential for fostering the kind of collaborative sensemaking we need to transcend the ideological divides that continue to put so many innocent lives in harms way.
